During the depths of a pandemic escapism is hard to find - yet music is something we all find liberating. The cathartic nature of rousing melodies and shattering breakdowns is something we wanted to share with you.

This five track EP brought us back together as friends and allowed us to share our thoughts, fears and insecurities through a trying time.

Revenant means "one that returns after death or a long absence" and this could not be more true of Risperidrone. Whilst locked down behind computer screens the fire still burned; a yearning to create something beautiful out of chaos.

It began as a simple riff smouldering into life through the toughest of winters and exploding into the opening track 'Lock & Key' - an instrumental exploration through the paranoia and anxiety of the past years.

We then look back at times where isolation was not mandated but cherished with 'Apathy'. This represents a dichotomy modern life; the drive of ego held back by the shackles of lethargy.

We then looked forward in hope of something better. 'The Curse of the Free' utilises a soaring chorus combined with vocal harmony to reflect the potential for forwards steps following years of misguidance.

'Rain' is the anthemic penultimate track of 'Revenant'. A simple verse builds into driving chorus which culminates into a violent breakdown; reflecting that when basic rights are restricted consequences will surely follow.

To conclude our debut EP is the epic 'Suffer Well'. Opening with unnerving soundscapes and abstract imagery which evolve into an evocative chorus. 'Suffer Well' moves through these emotions into a vigorous bridge describing the process of coming to terms with ones own short coming. The song then repeats main theme as it fades out to silence; contemplating that Risperidrone's story is just beginning with an infinite number of possibilites.
